Translations certified by the agency

A translation certified by the agency or translator is a document supplied with a translation certification executed by the agency's contracting professional translator. Such certification serves as an official confirmation of the credibility, accuracy and conformity of the translation with the original. Such translations are often required for official papers, such as legal, educational or medical documents. Agency certified translations are especially useful when the documents are intended for use in official proceedings, e.g. for filing thereof with a court, a government institution, or for use in business operations. This ensures credibility and helps keep a translation in line with the applicable official standards. Certificate of expertise

Certification affixed by an agency testifies that the translation has been carried out by a qualified professional translator engaged by the translation agency. This defines the official status of a document and ensures its credibility.

Language precision

Certification usually implies that the translation is accurate and true to the original. This is especially important in the context of an official document, where imprecision could ultimately cause a variety of problems.

Translation transparency

An agency certification contains information on when and where the translation had been done. Apart from enhancing the transparency of the document, it certifies that the translation is true and accurate.

The need for agency certification

If you are unsure about the specific type of certification you might require, the most convenient way to find out would be to ask the institution where the respective document is going to be served.

Understanding of the context

It is advisable to communicate any specific requirements towards the translation of a specific text in advance, as well as to provide additional information regarding the content of the document. Comprehension of the context will allow us to deliver the translation in the most accurate and appropriate manner.

Proofreading and editing process

Upon completion of a translation, we have it proofread. We check the text for any potential errors or ambiguities and correct these if any are revealed. Involvement of a proofreader in the translation process allows our customers to benefit from top-notch text translation quality.

Certification in terms of content

When certifying a translation, an agency thus usually also confirms that the translator has completely understood the content of the original document and carried out the translation in adherence to the standards of skilfulness and accuracy.

At times, the intended recipient institution of a document deems the agency certification insufficient. Such cases require a notarised translation, a service that we also provide.

Several types of translations that may require agency certification

Legal documents

Contracts, letters of attorney, judicial documents, legal agreements and other documents translated in legal context require certification by a translation agency. Thus certified, a translation is deemed officially approved and credible for use in judicial proceedings and other legal procedures or important processes of any other type.

Translation of educational documents

Certification by an agency may be required when you need to have a diploma, a school certificate or any other educational document translated for the purpose of studies or employment abroad.

Business documents

Contracts, articles of association, company registration documents and other documentation concerning business liabilities may require translations certified by an agency, especially when used at the international level.

ID translation

Official documents serving as proof of identity, such as birth, marriage and death certificates, often require an agency certified translation if intended for use outside the boundaries of their country of issuance.

Medical translations

Agency certification may be required for translations of medical reports, prescriptions and other medical documents intended for use abroad.

Financial document translations

Financial statements, bank documents and other financial documents sometimes need to be translated with proper certification by an agency, in particular, when these are used in cross-border transactions or legal proceedings.

Things one should know about agency certified translations

It is important to mention here that requirements towards translations may differ depending on the legislative system of the country in question and the type of the document itself. Feel free to consult us before ordering a translation!

Unless provided for otherwise by regulatory acts, a certification affixed to the document in question by its translator or the translation agency may suffice. A translation agency certifies a translation with the translator's signature or the agency's seal. The agency can certify any translation, whether it is a document with legal effect or a simple text. Therefore, prior to ordering a translation, it is preferable to ascertain whether the institution where the translated document is going to be submitted accepts agency certified documents. If not, your document translation will have to be notarised.
